Missy Project

The Missy Project is a not-for-profit organization that was founded to increase awareness and education about cerebral aneurysms and aneurismal rupture. In collaboration with Seton Brain & Spine Institute, a community-based aneurysm screening program was initiated to increase awareness of aneurysm, hemorrhage and stroke. The program educates families on risk factors, and provides community resources on smoking cessation, hypertension and healthy lifestyle promotion. First degree relatives of ruptured intracranial aneurysm victims are screened using the MR angiography. Currently, we are conducting a community screening research program with the Missy Project to provide necessary research data about the highest risk group-first degree relatives.
